And we arrived! Visiting and staying with friends for two days. Day 2 was Eclipse Event and it was simply incredible. We set up in the backyard and enjoyed every moment. Clouds threatened to spoil but there was just enough breaks to get a full views and partial views of all stages. At one point we all settled in to watch Total Eclipse of the Heart video (a must view). We took notice of the animals (birds) going completely quiet when the totality occurred. Surreal.
Then that evening, we had an incredible lightening event. I was sleeping in van and opted to move into house as I got rather freaked out being at ground zero for the event in a metal box.
